Okay so I bought an SSD for my new system to replace a crappier, smaller ssd that did not suffice speed wise.

I'm now using the Samsung 850 EVO with rapid mode enabled.

I've made the migration using Samsung's data migration software, and the OS seems to be OK. The only reason I have questions, is because I noticed immediately after restarting from the migration, some of my frequently used apps would become unresponsive upon opening, even when going into program files and launching the executables. So, it was late at night and I was tired and decided to deal with it the next day.

Next day: PC boots significantly faster (OMG OMG OMG OMG) and all of the problem apps start up fine.

1) Why are they working all of the sudden? When I shut down the pc didn't even do updates.

2) Does this mean the migration worked, and I can wipe the old SSD for game storage?

Thanks a lot!

I really want to build an oil-immersed PC  ^_^
