Requesting Motherboard Advice

Hello all, I'm about to invest in a mini itx board and  appreciate any and all advice.  I have an Intel G3258, plan to game and use it for work.  So far I've narrowed it down to ASRock z97e-itx/ac & Asus Maximus VII Impact.  Similar boards with slight differences in features but big difference in price.  The CPU will eventually be upgraded when pc games start utilizing more than 2 cores or a significant price discount on the cpu.  Please ask any probing questions to help provide advice, benefits vs drawbacks.
