can't really give you a better answer than if you simply search "best hosting service in canada" on google

but the best method is to host the website yourself, then rent out unused bandwidth to cover the cost or even make a profit

of course this requires a significant start up cost, a lot of effort to set up the servers and finding clients

No. The best option is never to host a website at your house by yourself.

You can look into a virtual private server, or check out any number of reputable webhosts (Not GoDaddy or anything owned by EIG). There's also free options--but paying for a service with always give you better service--uptime, reliability, performance, etc.

I have a friend whose website is so slooooooooowwww!!!! If the webdesign and layout is done. What is the most economical and fastest hosting company in canada to go to?

OVH Canada has a pretty competitive price, but their services are meh. Look into TsoHost they are in the UK but are in my opinion one of the best in the business. I host with them for over 4 years, in all that time they have been down once when they moved to their own datacenter. Technical support answers your ticket in around 15 min, very friendly as well.
