well you can't raid all of your drives. you need ssd's to be the same capacity. raid 0 for speed, raid 1 for redundancy.

They don't have to be exactly the same, but the same capacities. I would recommend the same drives because it looks better and you use the drives to their full potential

If you're looking to put the two SSDs in RAID such that you double the single-drive size, then use RAID 0.

If you want redundancy then set it to RAID 1, which means that if one fails, then you've got one to fall back on, which means that your data isn't lost.

There are other types of RAID, like Intel Smart Response caching and of course, RAID 5, 6, 10 etc but I'm assuming you don't want that.

Im not good at pc but yea if i get 2 ssd and 1 hhd what raid do i set them on? Also do i need my both ssd to be the same? or can it be different?

Hey there Werdna,

You have a couple of options:
- you can use the two SSDs in RAID0 or RAID1 for redundancy or better speed
- you can use each drive separately (one SSD for the OS and applications, one for games and larger files and the HDD for massive storage)

Technically you can put any drive into a RAID array, but the drives in the array will be limited to the speed of the slowest one in the array and the capacity of the smallest one. It is recommended to use similar drives (same size, speed, firmware) in RAID arrays, otherwise you are risking your data, drive dropouts and corruption.
