First Custom Loop?

So..I really want to get into water cooling and was wondering what exactly  I would need to get started in designing a custom water loop. I'm pretty sure I want flexible tubing, as my case is pretty small (Corsair 450D). How many radiators would I need, and reservors are required. Also should all the supplies be EK? as that's the only brand I'm aware off. Also will a budget of $200-$300 work? If someone has any spare time could you recommend some parts/fittings? Thank you!
