Hi my name is Jacob and I want to build my first PC but I don't know if I should get a 500 dollar gaming pc here are the specs https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/Prismo/saved/#view=NKvCmG and it's titled "First Computer" or should I save up for a better pc and click the link and go to Elixer.

So you guys tell me what I should get cheaper one and then wait a few years and get elixer or save and get elixer.

Personally save up another $250-$500. Give me a few minutes and I'll show you a $1000ish PC

APU is good... buuuut I think you should check this one out first.

It's plenty flexible and upgradeable. Now you can swap the card out for something better but I tried to keep it within your $500 budget, which I know in Canadian funds is hard for us to do these days and still get a good deal.

Saving up for "a couple years" won't do you any good because by then the parts you've chosen will be long out of date. :P

The New Machine: Intel 11700K / Strix Z590-A WIFI II / Patriot Viper Steel 4400MHz 2x8GB / Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC w/ Bykski WB / x4 1TB SSDs (x2 M.2, x2 2.5) / Corsair 5000D Airflow White / EVGA G6 1000W / Custom Loop CPU & GPU

The Rainbow X58: i7 975 Extreme Edition @4.2GHz, Asus Sabertooth X58, 6x2GB Mushkin Redline DDR3-1600 @2000MHz, SP 256GB Gen3 M.2 w/ Sabrent M.2 to PCI-E, Inno3D GTX 580 x2 SLI w/ Heatkiller waterblocks, Custom loop in NZXT Phantom White, Corsair XR7 360 rad hanging off the rear end, 360 slim rad up top. RGB everywhere.

http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/w4LxmG Here if you wanna save up go with this. I've got a better CPU for gaming and a better GPU. This is compared to your Elixer. A bit better PSU and RAM. You don't need an SSD but you can find cheap 120gb if wanted. I got a cheaper case. The noctis 450 is the same as the H440 on the inside. The Noctis just has LED lighting and a hit stealthy look. You can put custom LEDS on from NZXT if wanted :)
