Seagate external hard drive

Go to solution Solved by Captain_WD,

My Seagate external hard drive does not show in  My Computer . But in my pc detected the hard drives . i dont know what is the problem.

Guys please help me !

Hey cytrecyx,

Is the drive recognized properly (by size and model) in BIOS, device manager and disk management? Are there any strange sounds?
I would suggest getting a diagnostic tool from the manufacturer's website and run a test over the drive. Posting the S.M.A.R.T. status might help us give you better advice. :)

maybe the volume isn't assigned a drive letter. open up computer management, then disk management right click the partition, select change drive letter and paths, and assign a drive letter.

the system show this " The operation failed to complete because the disk management console view is not up to date. Refresh the view by using the refresh task. If the problem persists close the disk management console, then restart disk management or restart the computer.

I donno what is the problem. i am sad now
