at this moment i have a older pc running a Intel core 2 Q8300 cpu with 4gb ram DDR2 and a nvidia 750 Ti. I want to upgrade the mother board to hold some new DDR3 ram i got. is this a suitable option.

also i was thinking of looking into a cheaper option in the long run and investing in somthing like a new mobo + cpu combo somthing around 3.0ghz , any ideas?

You'll need to upgrade the CPU as well if you're going to upgrade the motherboard.

You will need to a full cpu ram and mobo upgrade.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

i just got 8gb of ares by g.skill already. 

 

which should fit that mobo and the q8300 fits the lg 775 chipsets correct?

lets be honest, the only thing worth while keeping is that build is the graphics card, just do i new build

also would getting an ssd to run everything on, help out with loading/gaming.

SSDs help primarily with Windows startup, system responsiveness, and application load times. Aside from maybe sometimes helping with game loading, it won't do much for gaming. It's nice to have an SSD but it's probably the first thing to get rid of if you can't get a good CPU and video card into a tight budget.
