ASRock H97M PRO4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

 

is this motherboard is to overclock on .. ?? ( the pentium g3258)

I'd buy a z97 board...

Z97 board for overclocking. H97, you might only be able to change the Bus speed (100Mhz at stock) and the CPU doesn't "like" that. Furthermore no point trying to overclock on H97, its kind of ghetto and minimal improvement when you can just bump up the multiplier to 45 (4.50GHZ) instead of trying to increase the Bus speed by 5-10Mhz (32x Multiplier x 110 Mhz = 3.52GHz Effective clock speed), and causing the CPU to run unstable.

No, you can't overclock on H97 boards.

 

You can on some, just not all.

 

I'd suggest going with z97 instead if you want to OC though.
