Hey guys and gals I am working on a system build in the mid tier area. The computer is ranging about 2000 to 2500 dollars, which is also my budget.

I have done the part list on PCPartPicker and compatibility seems to be fine.

Thanks

Everything looks great actually. Not much I would change, maybe swap out the RM650 for an EVGA 750 G2?

I'd increase the amount of power to at least 750watts. That should leave plenty of headroom for overclock or future SLI.

So... you make a 2000$ build and you are going to use it with a small 60hz TN monitor?

.... this is why we cant have nice things.

Maybe he likes TN panels. I have a similarly priced build and "only" have a 60Hz monitor (or at least the one I game on).

well this is gone sound weird but I don't even know what kind of monitor I have nor do I know the Hz on it xD

That means you have a 60hz TN... thats the garbage they peddle to everyone who doesnt know better. Its unfortunate that these companies take such advantage of you.

Then you deserve exactly what you get... its that simple.

I never questioned the simplicity of the matter... I don't see the point in buying an overkill monitor unless you plan on playing FPS games competitively. If anything you should've mentioned that it is only a 1080p monitor, instead of 1440p which the 980 could easily handle.

I got it for free with my system ^^"

I just checked it's a 75hz monitor but it's between 740p and 1080p

75Hz is honestly not bad. I'm not sure why people are so critical about the "low" refresh rate. Unless you want your system to look incredibly smooth 24/7 and play FPS games competitively, 120/144Hz is overkill IMO.

Im the kind of guy who`s tried it all (monitor wise at least)... and the cheapest monitor i would recommend to spend money on is the lg 29um67 = widescreen, IPS, 75hz, freesync.

It should be BELOW 400$, in EU its 300EUR. And EUR = $ now, not to mention EU is supposed to be more expensive always.

If you cant afford it, its better to save up then to get something that is just another piece of trash.

I think picking a videocard that's to overkill for a monitor isn't that good of an idea, you will waste to much money by it, or you'd have to buy another monitor then

I don't care enough to change to 1440p. If others think differently, good for them. 1080p and 60FPS is more than okay with me. But yeah, I see where you're coming from. It'd be smarter to save a little mroe for a 1440p monitor, TN or not. I cannot see spending $150+ on any monitor other than a 21:9 or OLED monitor.

yeah for me 60 fps and 1080 is good enough xp I don't need those 120 frames on a 4K monitor xDD

Free advice isnt appreciated?

Best of luck kid! You deserve to make your own mistakes before you reach my level of understanding on the matter!

Advice is worthless if you're a dick about it. It's FANTASTIC that you've tried everything out there. Props for you, no one cares.
