So i'm building a new PC.

But i don't know what works with what. So gimme some advice. I am on a budget below 1000$. I also want to be able to game and a little multi-tasking.

I'm thinking of using AMD FX6300 and for the Motherboard ASUS M5A97 R2.0 and aroud 8gb of ram.

Is that $1000 USD? Because you could get something much better than an FX 6300 with 1 grand. You could possibly get a 4690k and a 290 for that price

You can definitely upgrade to an FX 8350 and still have room in the budget for a decent GPU (assuming you already have other necessities like a monitor and peripherals).

I'm running a 6300, and while it is sufficient for most of what I do, I do wish I'd have saved a few extra pennies and just bought an 8350 instead. It's only like $60 more anyway.

Since noone else seems to give two shits about your gaming xp, and just want to look very knowledgeable about PC parts.... ill be the one to say it:

THE MONITOR is the most important part of your build. The one you are ACTUALLY LOOKING AT.

A lower level build, but with a good monitor and a working freesync/gsync loop is LIGHTYEARS better gaming than the sickest system in the world on a shit 60hz TN garbage screen.

Here:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2QnMxr

Skip a happymeal and squeeze those 80$ extra out and build this to become so addicted to gaming you`ll ruin your life with that 75hz IPS widescreen with freesync immunity to stutters and tears.

(the cheapest haswell i5 is THE BEST you can have for gaming,... anything more expensive is a waste of money and does 99% nothing more for gaming)
