If you're willing to wait for shipping from China, Xiaomi Piston 2/3's are highly regarded at around $20-30. There are lots of fakes going around though, so buy from trusted sellers like ibuygou or penonaudio.

I have loved Skullcandy buds my whole life, INK'd are totally fine imo.

I own these, http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00BIDH3PI/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1431362921&sr=8-1π=AC_SY200_QL40&keywords=core+bass+earbuds

They are under $20, look good and the sound is good but not "great". The weird looking angled design allows them to fit into your ear really well creating very good noise isolation. And they flip up to place the cord over your ear if you are waking around exercising and they come with a cool case/wrap thing to keep them untangled and safe in a bag.

My Xiaomi Piston 3's just got here today actually. Having listened to a few different genres of music, they are REALLY good. People weren't kidding about these being exceptional for their price. After shipping I paid $27 on ibuygou, and while I had to wait about 2 weeks for shipping, it was well worth the wait. They have strong bass, but it is very contained and doesn't bloat over the mids or highs. The mids and highs are still very clear which finds a great balance with the bass. If you're willing to wait the 2-3 weeks, then I very strongly recommend these.

I'm in agreeance with him, they're fairly comfortable and come with a mic and track controller on it. Just be prepared for more bass than in most earbuds though.

Precisely what I love about them ;-) Granted I listen to EDM & stuff, so it makes sense. Might not be desirable if OP likes classic rock, jazz etc...
