Hard choice!

Hi guys! 

Today I'm here to ask your help! 

I'll buy a new headset and im not sure if buy the Logitech 230 (which are only stereo) or the Logitech 430 (which are 7.1)..so my problem is..should i save 20$ and use the Razer Surround 7.1 or should i buy the 430 which include the 7.1? 

Is the Razer software good as the Logitech? D:

its not the "real 7.1" with multiple drivers per earcup but the software version using dolby headphone trying to attempt soundstage via software. 

 

as it stands having used EAX, dolby headphone and the razer 7.1 emulation software I gotta say /shrug it really doesn't compete at all versus a soundstage optimized headphone like open backed versions out there. 

 

as it stands I find the razer software to not annoy me as much as the dolby headphone or EAX 

 

hard choice?   choose an open backed headphone

Correct me if I am wrong, but don't these 2 headsets use the exact same 40mm drivers? 

 

I believe the only difference between them is Dolby 7.1, braided cable, and extra cushioning.

 

If you believe you could benefit from the extras, then go for it.

They will perform exactly the same in Music, but slightly differently in Gaming and Movies. (Same sound quality, just different directions).
