Greetings!

I have only a few question, but after its answered, feel free to ask yours here.....

My question is: Which motherboard is better: the Delusxe, the sabertooth or the V Rampage?

I'm planning to build a custom PC with extreme CPU watercooling (4x122mm fan radiator twice, or less, also I need help here). I'd like you ask you, mighty PC master race members, which motherboard type supports the overclocking better. What i heard is that the V Rampage is better at OC, but the sabertooth would fit in the design better. So is the V Rampage better as much that I compromise my desing (i can repaint it, so not much loss), or just lets go with the Sabertooth?

Also, as I already mentioned, I'd like to ask whether is 4x122mm fan radiator 2 times lets me overclock more than one, and how much.

In case you wondering, it will be a custom built case.

Thank you for your help, and looking forward to your answer.

p.s.: If you are interested, I can send you sketches how it'd look like.

p.s.s.: If you like it, you can parchuse it. Specs come later.

Rampage is the best.

I dont have too much knowledge about custom loops tho.

Unless you're doing LN2, even the X99-A will do more than fine. Standard air/watercooled overclocking won't go to extreme temps/voltages/overclocks that would even start to use the many extreme overclocking features in the high-end boards.

In other words, get whatever looks best/is the cheapest.

My build: tis be ordered

We are not all members of the shit pcmr...

Dual 480mms won't do u any good, sure they will keep your temps at ambient and fans REALLY silent, but you won't be able to extremely oc the CPU unless you add the. Vrms and the chip set to the loop.

Also the RVE is the best Asus x99 for ocing

Lets all ripperoni in pepperoni

Sorryu but, do you know how much dual 480's are?

I know that dual 480s are a lot of radiator, but will it get a CPU to 5.0+ Ghz at something like 0.8 volts where the RVE's many additional features start to shine? Besides the rads have nothing to do with the motherboard.

I do agree with your statement that dual 480s are kind of pointless unless it's a 5960X + Quad GPU high overclock setup.

Umm. no.

Motherboards do so little for performance yet so much for stability. All of the ASUS's motherboards will get you the same overclock. (without exotic cooling solutions.)

Obviously the RVE will do much better with LN2 than the deluxe board. Thats just how it is. There are more LN2 Friendly features on that specific board (RVE).

If you are underwater, or on air, there is pretty much no difference in overclocking with any of the boards. (We are talking about a 50 Mhz difference at most)

Edit: You should NEVER paint your motherboard, as it risks damaging the components and kills the warranty.

If you don't need WiFi or Bluetooth Sabertooth, if you need WiFi and Bluetooth Deluxe...Rampage is ludicrous in all aspects -only buy it for the bling factor.

Besides those features the Sabertooth has a 5yr warranty, which is why I swapped my Deluxe out for it (and I didn't need WiFi or BT).

All of the boards you listed will OC exactly the same, all come with the OC socket and have the same feature sets within the BIOS.

Also, as I already mentioned, I'd like to ask whether is 4x122mm fan radiator 2 times lets me overclock more than one, and how much.

I have no idea what this sentence means. Overclock more than one what? CPU, GPU? are you talking about two 480mm rads? We would need a parts list of what components you're trying to cool. Two 480's is overkill for any setup aside from a tripple/quad Titan X or 290x setup. Width of the rad also matters...

Actually I'll made a cooling block. A propeller, borrowed from a model airplane (5 blade, 12 inch) will get me the air required.

Underneath the propeller would be the motherboard, about 5-6 inch, the videocards will be elsewhere (more cables, yayyy) and the radiators will be around the whole stuff.

What do you guys think? I think It would be able to absorb heat, but I don't know how much.

I want to overclock the cpu as much as possible to be able to catch up to the videocards (2xtitanX SLI).

Fortunatelly, there's no budget limit. The 2 titans will get 2 480mm rad, and I'm wondering how much rad the CPU needs.

I can't tell if this is a troll post or not

If you own a machine shop and figure out how to get a 12" diameter fan inside of a case make sure to post a build log.

As for the rads, x2 480x30mm is enough for both Titans and the CPU.

X99-A is the cheapset Asus X99 board while the WS is the most expensive or does that go to the extreme (too lazy to look up the current price).

All of them except WS and Rampage supports 4 gpus, and the rest is just 3 gpus. Pro, S, and Deluxe has a plastic shroud cover, A does not. Deluxe has the largest heatsink setup with heat pipes. Pro has it too, but vrm and i/o heatsink isn't connected like the deluxe.  The piece that says "Extreme" on the RVE is actually a heatsink not a plastic shroud. It also has direct heatpipe contact with the vrms. The heatsink in the middle of the board for RVE doesn't do anything. it's just for bling.

No, it's not a troll post. I just want to build a computer, that looks like a radial engine. The reservoirs around the propellers engine, underneath it the mtherbord, and around the whole stuff will be the cooler, in a FULLY SELF-BUILT CASE. I know one or two thing about metal-working, so I can make it work.
