Raid 0 On flash drives

Can i listen to anyone's take on making a Raid 0 configuration on multiple flash drives?

What i am thinking about now is getting a USB 3.0 hub, preferably with at least 5 slots, stick 16x5Gbs of flash drives on the hub, then connect the hub to a USB 3.0 connection on my laptop.

While it is plugged in, i would enter disk manager, delete all the selected 5 volumes and strip all the volume into a Raid 0 configuration. A normal cheap stick is preferred to be used so speeds around 30 Mbps each is expected.

 

Theoretically, 30Mbpsx5 = 150 Mbps, which is nearly 50% more than the external hard disk i own.

A stick is around 10 SGD in my country. 

Should i go around this option? Will it work? Is it a worthy project?

 

I just want a cool project to be messing around in trying to get myself to get some simple Raid configurations going

You could in theory soft raid them, however the soft raid over usb is debatable im going to say...also you will need multiple usb buses as usb is shared bandwidth. so multiple usb controllers will be required
