Hi so i have a laptop which doesn't boot so got a new pc got out the HHD out of the laptop but then when i put it into a other pc the screen turns up black and the pc doesn't boot but when i remove the HHD then the PC boots normally

the hard drive is a WD7500BPKT

i was thinking of a virus or that the HHD is simply dead but then the pc would boot right ?

You would think Ubisoft would support the Bulldozer based architectures more given their digging themed names like bulldozer, Piledriver, Steamroller and Excavator.

HDD*

I'd guess the hdd is the issue if it doesnt work on multiple different computers.

Hey Arcanekitten,

If you are trying to boot from the same drive on a different computer, I'm afraid that this won't be possible as the OS is installed according to the system hardware.
If you already have a OS on the new computer and just want to use the drive as a secondary one, I would suggest checking the boot order in BIOS and make sure the laptop drive is not before the other ones. If you can remove it from the boot order, that would be the best solution. Make sure you are booting from the other drive.
Also, since it's a laptop (2.5") drive, you should be able to plug it in externally via a SATA to USB cable, docking station or a simple external enclosure. This way the drive will be seen as a regular external drive and you can test it if it's healthy and working properly. I would suggest using WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool for the test. If this helped you, like and choose it as best answer - you might help someone else with the same issue. ^_^
