Hey guys! I am currently using windows 8.1 given by dreamspark and i was wondering if i can get a free upgrade to windows 10 when it launches?

And when it does can i swap my key out (after the update of course) to my previous windows 7 key? (i was using windows 7 and i have a product key at hand)

Or do i have to revert back to windows 7 first and then update to windows 10?

I really dont wanna experience a fresh OS install again (i've backed up my files in windows 7 only to realise i cant restore it in 8.1 ffs D:)

Upgrading to Windows 10 should work the same for all licenses of Windows, regardless if you acquired it from Dreamspark or some vendor.

I'm not sure what you mean by that.

Like after upgrading to windows 10 can i change my windows 8.1 key to my old windows 7 key? The 8.1 key is only valid till i graduate from my polytechnic!

When you upgrade it should become a lifetime key.
