USB PORTS/MONITOR NOT CONNECTING?

When i start my monitor/pc it shows ''check signal cable'' and my usb ports arent working (keyboard doesnt light up)

 

I have a gigabyte gtx 970/intel i5 4690k/asus maximus vi hero 

 

i've double checked on all my cables and wires..

 

the only thing left is to do a BIOS UPDATE But idk which one to download..any help?

Do your fans spin? Power supply might be malfunctioning or busted, assuming you double checked all the connectors on your monitors and computer already.

You'll most likely need to use USB BIOS Flashback, since the system is probably not starting due to the Z87 motherboard not having the newer BIOS required for Haswell Refresh CPUs like the 4690K. http://rog.asus.com/technology/republic-of-gamers-motherboard-innovations/usb-bios-flashback/

In that case, try removing the GPU and using integrated graphics to see if those work. For the USB is it only the keyboard or every USB device? Are you using the blue USB 3.0 ports or the black USB 2.0 ports?

Your mobo doens't have an hdmi (integrated graphics)? I googled the mobo you said you have and it definitely has hdmi.

im using the DVI DUAL-LINK one for my DVI TO VGA CABLE
