RAM, what do i have?

Hi Guys my name is Akram and Linus i am a big follower of your videos as fast as possible mainly and others you are a genius in tech and i would like to learn a lot.

My question for today is i have 

i have 8 gigs of ram on my computer 1333mhz dual channel.. this means 8 is divided into two, now i am intending to add another 16 gigs in dual channel but 2400mhz will this downsize the 2400 ram to the older ram of 1333 mhz or will it cause problems and hang or crash the OS??  thanks for the advice

It'll down clock your new ram to 133mhz. You'll have all of the ram available to you, but the ram speed will be lowered to the lower clocked kit, however ram speed really doesn't matter.
