My first build planning help.

Go to solution Solved by ADZ_123_!"£,

The I5 will be fine for gaming and can cope with anything so I would just put as much money as you can into your graphics card.

Im building my first computer and have came up with a set up for £650 and have an additional £100 to go towards it. I plan on using it mainly for gaming at 1080p and web browsing. I've currently selected the following parts.

CPU: intel I5 4460 £144.48

PSU: Corsair cx600M £57.98

Motherboard: Gigabyte B85N-PHOENIX £68.24

GPU: GTX 960 £149.99

RAM: 2X 4GB 1600Mhz £40

CPU cooler: cooler master hyper 212 evo £26.58

Case BitFenix Prodigy £40.99

OS: windows 7 £67.95

Storage: seagate 1TB SSHD £59.98

i was thinking of either upgrading to a 970 or getting a better cpu. any suggestions would be appreciated.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.
