Can I power it all?

dmtben

I was aiming for a more budget build with a GTX 750 Ti originally and so ordered a 430 watt power supply. Now in order to complete my build I'm buying an EVGA GTX 960 SSC. With I be able to power this, paired with an Intel i5 4690K, 2 hard drives, 4 case fans, an MSI Z97 PC mate, 8gb of DDR3 RAM and a 120gb SSD?

The minimum I believe for the 960 is a 400W Power Supply. You might just be on the edge depending on the PSU itself.

I would personally go and buy another power supply (sell your current) and go with 550W because I'd be overclocking the 4690K. You may get away with it if you're not overclocking, but I personally would be extremely cautious.

I'm going to put a link to my PC specs which actually aren't my PC specs and I cry myself to sleep everyday so I can have these PC specs but I can't afford these PC specs so PC specs PC specs PC specs PC specs PC specs PC specs.

Although I am PRETTY sure you'll be fine... It is just me that would be cautious because I am always. :P

I'm unlikely to be overclocking since I'm using the stock heatsink. Can't fit an aftermarket in my budget yet!

To be in the safe side, go with a 500 to 650 watt. The Cooler Master V / VSM series are great options, another good choice would be the EVGA SuperNOVA series.

430 is plenty for a 960.

Yeah, but still, You should always have a system using the following calculation, or atleast in my opinion.

Max Power Draw + 100 Watt = PSU Wattage.

IF YOU HAVENT BOUGHT IT YET. Go with a 4460 or maybe a 4690S. They'll be lower power draw, which should give some more wobble room.

Just to confirm, I've bought everything apart from the graphics card. I was just unsure as to whether I would be able to power it off this PSU or if I either NEEDED to upgrade the PSU or whether I should opt to go down to the 750 Ti. Upgrading the PSU would be the last step I would like to take, if there is no other way around it

Realistically, you should be fine, that's just 3 parts and you're still under well under 300W, HDD/SSD RAM and case fans don't take up a whole lot(HDD/SSD and case fases are about 6W's each and RAM is like 1-2W, in most cases), but if you want to make sure, plug all your stuff into partpciker just to get an estimated wattage if you're not 100% sure,

(It doesn't do overclocking though, so if that's you plan, probably are going to want to get a bigger PSW)
