I need to replace the memory currently in my system.

I'm running on a P67 - Asus maximus 4 extreme with a 2600K.

Now I know the board will only support up to 2133Mhz oc'd, and that 1600Mhz is the default supported speed.

My current set is 2x4GB 1600.

So I have got my choice down to two:

1) Kingston HyperX Savage 16GB - DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9 @1.5V

2) Kingston HyperX Savage 16GB - DDR3-2400 CL11-13-14 @1.65V // DDR3-2133 CL11-13-13 @1.6V

They are both very close in price.

Which should I go for, any suggestions?

You will notice no difference in real world applications between either of those frequencies. Just stick with 1600mhz.

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Definitely the 1600Mhz kit, especially if you want to game, CAS 9 is ideal.

Mobo: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P CPU: AMD FX 8350 RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3 8gb (2x4gb@1600Mhz) GPU: Gigabyte R9 280x (factory oc) PSU: Thermaltake SmartSE 730w Case: Corsair 200R

I knew that ram speeds don't always yield real world differences, just wasn't sure how much of a difference.

I noticed there is also a 1866Mhz kit but seems pointless.

I'll go ahead and order the 1600Mhz kit.

Thanks everyone, greatly appreciated.
