Capture video from TV

Hi guys/ladies!

 

I am trying to capture video from my TV into my laptop and need your help. I've never messed around with capture cards before. 

 

Now i realize that it would be as simple as buying a capture card and plugging the HDMI cable into my TV and the USB into my PC.  However, in this situation, I have another laptop that will be streaming video into the TV, and I am trying to capture that video from the TV and save it into another laptop.  Is this possible?

 

I am looking at a capture card like this.  I am not using this for game capture, i just need to capture the whole screen.

First off why would you want to play media on the tv only to record that same media on another pc? If both pc's are local, as in they are in the same house, then just take out a USB and move them from one to another. Im sorry but it would be much better to know the why behind this one before suggesting to you how to spend money.
