so i just signed up for paypal and linked my credit card, is that all i need to do to buy stuff?(i didnt link my bank account or my SIN)  Do i need to add money to my account before buying anything or does it just pay it off by itself. I just bought spotify Permium and i saw it pay on my profit in the paypal website, it said -1.04 does that mean it will be paid off my credit card and i don't need to worry about it or do i need to add money to the account first.

Sorry new to Paypal, thanks.

Edit: and all i needed to do to buy permium is by putting my zip code, isnt that really easy for other people to find out? how is this secured or is it i have my account logged in while i was buying

Nope, it will use your credit card instead of paypal balance, or if you add money to your paypal balance, it will use that up first, then your credit card if any other funds are needed.

Any benefits? Not that I know of.

I can't say if there are transaction fees as I don't have a credit card :/

There's no fees for using a CC for you; the seller pays them.

Also note every now and then PayPal asks if ya wanna sign up for a PayPal line of credit, so just keep an eye out for that so ya don't sign up for something ya don't want.

If you've linked your CC any charges will just be automatically forward on to that, no need to do manual topups.

Being "verified" lets you do a few more things than when you're not verified. (Can't remember what those things are atm tho :/)

Adding your bank account lets you add money to your paypal account from your bank account, and send money to your bank account from your paypal account.

Depends on your account version. How many addresses you send too and how often you ship stuff. Like stated you don't need to add funds, it will do it automatically. Also it will use funds in the account then withdraw from the back, which is a feature I like. Just depends on your level of use.

You can do a few more things when adding a bank account and being verified.

The benefit of using actual paypal funds vs CC funds...is 1... you can send cash as a gift to someone without costing anything... which normally it has a service charge. And you can only do this is you have actual money in the paypal funds. You also can't use the paypal card(Debit) unless REAL money is in there. Even if you have a 50k CC on file it won't allow a transfer of funds from a CC. It only deducts it for online purchases. Like you can't walk into a store and buy something using the paypal debit card unless there is money on it.

Verified also might help protect you in case of selling items or buying items on ebay since they are linked.
