RAID 0 Setup

Hi, in order to setup RAID 0, do I need a RAID "card" or can I just plug in the drives into the motherboard?

It's designed to work with raid, so it will be a bit faster.

Also, with raid 0 config ur mobo's raid controller gonna heat up well, so raid card will help u to get rid of it.

And sometimes u can just run out of sata slots, so it will also help u with that.

oh my fucking god i'm an idiot, so basically it litterally, physically sets aside into a physical group an array of drives, is this correct? that what it seems like lol

 

this of course being a raid card, not software raid, right?
