hey linus community when i decide to buy usb 3.1 or usb c products will i be able to buy something like a pci card to use it since i don't have them on my motherboard?

There are and will absolutely be pci cards to buy.  I'm waiting for my Asus x99 deluxe motherboard to arrive and it comes with one in the box, so I can only assume that you will be able to purchase them separately.  For what price, I don't know.
