I was able to get my G3258 to 4.4 at 1.36v stable. Should I push all the way to 1.38-1.4 to try for 4.6-4.8? I have a feeling my cpu was not too great. I got it for 50 so if going to 4.8 will help alot vs 4.4 and only get 6 years from it ill go ahead. Let me know.

you should probably stop there. 1.4 volts is pretty risky. my chip was able to hit 4.5 at 1.25 volts and I was completely content with that.

Thats what I thought. Is it risky as in the cpu just being killed or decreased life?

voltage degradation over time. I've never had it happen, but I also don't run high overclocks all day

high voltage can cause degradation of the chip making it unstable at the same clocks after some time at high voltages.

your CPU is unlikely to outright die, but if you push the voltages too high it might degrade the silicon within a fea years
