If you don't have a bootable usb, you need to do a net install. Hold command+option+R when booting to get into net recovery.

thats what im trying to install from and it says unavalible i googled it and it seem to be a problem with going up to a later version. it says i need to repartition my drives but when i try to repartition it says it cant unmount also akame is best girl

Are you connected to your wifi network? the net install should install the original os if I remember correctly.

i think my only option is to boot from usb but im not sure how i have the ISO for mavericks

Hmm, weird. Just make sure you are booting with cmd+option+r because the other ones do different things. If that doesn't work, you will need to create a bootable usb on another mac

do i put the iso on the flashdrive or do i have to extract it and can i do it with a windows pc
