On TFTCentral is suggested as a Gaming Monitor for under 300 $, it has low response time (on spechs it has 8 ms response time but tested it has just 4 ms). Couldn't find nothing on the internet about a gaming test of this one, someone here have it or knew it to give some answers?

Uhh well if you're doing competitive gaming (CSGO) you'd probably want to go for a 144Hz monitor. The U2414H is 60Hz and is more known for it's extremely thin bezels and good colour reproduction. I have 3 and have no problem gaming on them, nor have any complaints about response time.

I have friends with it - It is not a gaming monitor per se, but it works - just don't expect it to work as well as something double it's price and branded as a "144hz gaming monitor with 1ms response".

I don't play competitive CS:GO, I play it for "fun" or stress test. For now I don't want to spend money on a 144Hz monitor just to play CS:GO, cause I have a GTX 970 and I don't think it will render 144+ Fps for the games coming this year, so for me it is a waste. Thank you guys!

Btw I'm coming from a dead Samsung Syncmaster 24SA450B, it has 5 ms response and TN panel. I got no problems with 5, nor I would with 4, isn't it?

You'll probably love the U2414H then. I had a 1ms Asus 60Hz monitor before and the only different I notice is how much better the Dell monitor looks due to the bezels and colour reproduction.

Went for it, shortly after started playing CS GO, and would rather have went with a TN 144hz panel instead. It is a really nice panel though! :D

I don't know if the monitor causes this, but I have a lot of tearing in CS

This is a very common error. You don't need to run 120+ fps to take advantage of a 144hz monitor. The internal refreshtime is 1/144= 6.9ms, as opposed to 16.7ms on a 60hz panel. Meaning, transitions will be smoother and you'll have less tearing at the same framerates as a 60hz panel. That means even at lower framerates.

What about blacklight bleed?

I did a research on TFTCentral, this problem is not even contemplated.

They didn't mention it because the backlight bleed is the same as with any ips panel. It's still too much to my taste, if you like really deep blacks you should try looking in mva or a-mva or ah-mva panels
