windows 8 won't install

Just finished putting together my pc am trying to install windows 8.1 oem but it gets stuck on a black screen with a blue window logo then reboot and gain to the same blue window what did I do wrong ?

turn secure boot off if it's on

also, win8 has trouble with certain parts of your BIOS isn't up to date. i had this same issue, installed an older OS from an old disk, updated my BIOS, and installed windows.

Okay am new at this so where do I find the option secure boot to turn it off

Are you installing via USB or DVD?

 

If you are using a USB, ensure you aren't using a USB 3 port. I've had issues with USB 3 ports in the past.
