Kraken g10 on EVGA 970 or nah?

I was looking at the kraken g10 for my EVGA ACX GTX 970s and it says it works for NVIDIA 970 but will it work for EVGA? This is probably a dumb question. And the cpu liquid cooling works in these?

I wouldn't go with the G10. It's really bad for VRM cooling.

Sig under construction.

What should I go for then? I don't think I have the money for a custom loop.

It's not. It highly depends on card being used, and case airflow.

NZXT H440. So trash airflow.

Yes it will work, the only issue is that the VRMs are on the opposite side of the GPU die. You will need something like an antec spot cool or PCI fan bracket to get airflow over the VRMs.

Doesn't help, but not the biggest hurdle. It's getting airflow over the VRMs.

I can mount a fan facing the 2 GPUs would that be ok?

That may help some, but I'm not sure it'd be enough.

Oh I just realized you have SLI, this makes it even more difficult. The PCI Fan bracket won't work. You would need to ghetto rig a fan to be blowing over the VRMs somehow, even an Antec Spot Cool might be too cumbersome for SLI.

How can I ghetto rig it? Any examples?

You can try asking in the G10 Owner's Club on OCN. I've seen it done with a single card, not SLI.

Meh ok. Would I have the same problem with a custom loop?

As long as they make a waterblock for your card, no.

No problem. It's a shame they made the VRMs go on the opposite side of the 970s. Real shame.

Do you know a nice looking 970 waterblock that will work? My color scheme is red/black if that helps. Also if I do a custom loop for my cpu do I need separate pump for the GPUs?

Nope, can use a single pump, but its not a bad idea to have a 2nd for redundancy, and you can run both at low speeds for less noise.

Waterblocks for 970s, I am not aware of any.  Can try the major names: EK, XSPC, etc..

Would the SLI be a problem for it. Will there be enough room for the tubing?

Not at all, you just have to buy the correct components.

I don't know nearly as much about custom watercooling as I do about the G10, so you will be better served asking someone else for advice, but I do know SLI is not an issue.
