My brother has a ASUS G56JK Gaming Laptop wich worked fin just until a couple of days ago, when he tried to play some games but his FPS never exceeded 20 FPS, so he asked me to check it out.

and i found out that he had somehow managed to switch from using the Nvidia Geforce GTX 850M GPU to the GPU thats integrated in the CPU/motherboard. and i was wondering how i could switch back to the

Nvidia GPU.

it has all the latest drivers, so thats not a probem.

He has a Windows 8.1 64 bit OS

what can i do to fix it?

@Benny867

There could be an option in the nVidia driver, or clicking with RMB on the *.exe, "Use Nvidia GPU", or go into the BIOS...

could you be more specific on where i could switch to the Nvidia GPU?

If i remember correctly was somwhere in the menu bar... It was back when i had the laptop, so my memory is a bit confused... Was an option like "show GPU options for programs"... I'm sorry I'm being so vague... ^^'
