NZXT Cam Issue

Hey, I just recently bought an NZXT grid+, and want to control my fans with the cam software. I dowloaded cam on my pc, but whenever I open it, it first tells me that " The dependency service or group failed to start. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007042C)". After that, the login screen pops up, but before I get a chance to log in, it shows me "CAM has stopped working". 
Have I just wasted $40? What can I do to fix this? I believe in you LTT community.
