I'm wanting to clean up the inside of my case to I want to remove my HDD cage. I could either put notebook drives in the SSD trays in the back of the 750D or get a 5.25" 2.5" bay. My other option would be to get a 15mm 2.5" and get desktop server HDD's and my other choice would be to get a 3.5" drive cage and use regular desktop HDDS. What should I do?

Nothing wrong with using laptop HDDs in a desktop as long as you don't mind the slight loss in performance. They're quieter, make less vibration and run cooler anyways :P

Desktop: Intel Core i5 2380P (2400 w/o iGPU), MSI H61, 8GB RAM, 256GB SP610, 500GB WD Blue, HIS R9 280, Antec TruePower Classic 550W, Inwin MANA 134, QNIX QX2710, CM QuickFire Rapid, Logitech G402

Laptop: Toshiba Satellite L40D, AMD A6-6310, 6GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Radeon R4 Graphics, 14" 1366x768

Phone: iPhone 6 Space Gray 64GB, T-Mobile $60/mo 3GB plan

I mean like, I use a 5400rpm notebook drive as my boot drive, and I have no complaints with it really.

Hey AMD Lover,

The form factor of the drives won't matter for their compatibility with the internal parts. As long as you can securely fit them in the case with adequate airflow around them, you should be just fine. :)
