I don't know much about fans, as I'm fairly new to computers but I got the basics down. Anyway, I've been looking at corsairs SP serious. Are they loud and reliable? Or should I go with different fans. I have an h440 case and an h100i, but I'm using the fans that come with it. Or should I upgrade those too?

Please list the rest of your specs and why you're getting aftermarket fans.

Corsair SP Pe's are reliably loud. QE's are decently quiet.

GPU GTX 970 ACX 2.0

MOBO Msi gaming 7 z97

h100i

Antec HCG-620M

RAM Ripjaws X 8x2

I have more money, my temps go to about 80-90c on load after hours, but I don't think about it. I just have more money and was wondering about fans, mainly for cosmetic purposes

What speed is your 4790K running at? If that's stock then you have something seriously wrong with your H100i.

What's your current configuration for cooling? 90c is a bit high.

My h100i rad is on top fans blowing OUT. Three intake fans on the right (120) and 1 exhaust (140) on the left. My EVGA 970 has ACX 2.0 coolers on it facing down. Ill post a pic with arrows showing airflow if you want.

I get the idea and that won't be necessary. What's your cpu core voltage at?

I think that Spectre Pros are the best mix between looks and silence.

Did it anyways, and I dont know. Its on auto.

The arrows on the graphics card are facing the wrong way unless you went out of your way to mod the fan for worse performance.

Correction; its on 1.240V

Your temps seems a bit higher than they should be for that voltage. Are you sure the cooler is properly mounted?

Spectre Pros are pretty loud and aren't that good. .

I meant you drew the arrows incorrectly. I haven't come across a graphics card where the fans face that way.

-snip-

It seems you have the wrong idea of which way the fans blow.

There you might be wrong, with the Haswell chips the H100i is too big, so get some o rings and put them on the back.

This might help with that: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/344137-bad-4790k/#entry4687798

Yeah... Someone mentioned this to me before. The tutorial I watched said those were strictly for AMD. Will do tomorrow.

Did that and took off the panel to my 3 intake fans. temps dropped 30c. I dont feel any air being pushed throught my rad though, even with my hand on it.

Hmmm are they plugged in?
