HD6870

[AMD FANBOI]

Put new Thermal Compound on my old HD6870 (with referencecooler doh) cuz I want to give it to a friend for free and stuff. I get 85°C on that thing after 30mins of Crysis 3. Should I check the TC again or is it fine?

It depends on the airflow or the cooler, but I would hover around 64C with both of my (granted, non-reference) 6870s when they're not in the case together

Its not like that thing would start to burn but temps are a bit high.

Might shave a few degrees, but don't expect miracles. Reference coolers just aren't that good, especially from AMD.

These cards are almost 5 years old and Crysis 3 would hump a HD 6XXX series.
