System Specs?

I'd guess you're trying to record either at too high of a bitrate for your hdd to handle, or you're recording at too low of a bitrate for the resolution and framerate that you are using.

I have a GTX 980, I5 3570k, 120 GB SSD that I don't record it one, 2 tb seagate and 1 tb WD blue which I have shadowplay on. and the bitrate is on the highest it can go I believe its 130 or something like that and the resolution is in game.

Okay, try setting the bitrate to around 60-80 or so and see if that helps.
