So I run two monitors and I guess it might be the culprit but shouldn't nvidia of thought of multi monitors?

Surely there is someway to fix it?

Things I have tried:

  • Reinstalling Drivers
  • Changing Nvidia control panel settings
  • Using nvidia inspectors multi monitor power saving (it causes flickers on the screen and is annoying as fuck to keep using)

There is a bug with some drivers where GPU clocks don't turn down if you have ShadowPlay set to record Desktop.

But I don't..

Have you tried turning off ShadowPlay completely?  I did a full driver reinstall and it fixed that bug.

Then a clean install with new drivers.  Fixed that issue good for me :D

Considering I don't know what your GPU was idling at before, 200MHz may or may not be the solution :P
