So these 2 benchmarks are my r9 285 dual-x oc benchmarks.

First one :- AA x4 / Ultra / Tess Extreme / resolution 1366x768 (haven't 1080p monitor)

image.jpg

Wattage MaX : 103.9W
Temps max : 75C
Fans max : 57%
gpu mem : 900M

Sec one :- AA x8 / Ultra / Tess Extreme / resolution 1366x768

image.jpg

fps min : 8.2

FPS AVG : 54.7

fps max : 124.9

score : 1379

Wattage MaX : 103 W
Temps max : 75C
Fans max : 57%
gpu mem : ( forgot to detect it )

are these benchmarks good and the gpu is fine? and what do you expect for it on 1080p ? the scores/fps i mean ..

is the gpu is fine anyway without problems and good scores? also what about this wattage is that normal?

also note the gpu load was almost 100% and maybe dropped to 0% once or twic , is that due to low resolution ?.

People more commonly run Valley. Also run the test at a 1080p preset as its easier to compare when the settings are the same. I'll try running heaven in a bit

Heres my score with settings that match your first picture.

Take what you will from it as I'm unable to compare your scores to any other scores given that you chose non-preset settings.

My guess is that your GPU is performing slightly below average.

well.. idk really but thanks btw gtx 780ti is much higher than r9 285 .

anyway here's my passmark score

CPU Passmark : 6218

GPU Passmark 5140

and the website one is

CPU on website : 6452

GPU on website : 5210

so i see 200 difference in cpu and 70 difference in gpu .. what do you think ? it doesn't matter that low difference anyway and it depends on luck ? the gpu & cpu are fine or wutsup ?

I'm pretty sure you can run the test at that resolution even if your Monitor isn't capable.

Is never used passmark as a test for comparison. To compare cpu, most compare their Cinebench scores. To compare gpu, they use Valley. To compare both combined, they use firestrike

Well I don't know how else to check the performance of your 285. Try searching online for other people's results at that resolution.

"havent 1080p monitor"

Try check your CCC setting.  "My Digital Flat Panels">Properties>Image Scaling Preference. Tick Virtual Super Resolution.

emqB0fo.png

Now you should have higher resolution in Heaven Benchmark, only usable on Fullscreen mode.

havent any of these

What is your driver version? You should have this setting in CCC if u're using Catalyst 14.12 (Omega) or newer.

You can check in CCC at Information>Software or run GPU-Z.

i haven't omega because i cant since i use win 8, so im using the CD one which came with the card and its 14.3 , and i cant install the 14.4 on the website because it seems to be the same driver but newer CCC .., also my monitor is lcd vga not digital so all i can see is vga properties and i haven't these options.

Your cpu bottlenecked that 960 slightly. Have u try both overclocked?

Yeah both are over clocked, my CPU at 4GHz. Dunno why it don't show on valley.

Shouldnt gpus of the same model perform almost identical?
