Did a lot of reading here and did learn a thing or two also here...thanx for that!

Now....i am building a ITX system with these components:

 

Corsair 380T ITX case

Asrock Z97E-ITX/ac mobo (socket 1150)

G.Skill 16 GB DDR3-2400

600W powersupp.

Sapp. R9 290 4GB

CPU cooling : Corsair H100i

 

Now i am thinking witch cpu i should fit into this system....i was thinking about the i5 4690K for a long time.

 

i know for gaming its just fine for now...but how about the future?

But what would you do.....a i5 4690K or a i7 4790K

 

.....and is a i7 worth the extra €100 and why ??

Stick with the i5-4690k, For gaming / general use, the i5-4690k will do as well as the i7-4790k (we're talking maybe 1-2fps difference). The i7 is worth the extra €100 if you are going for 3D rendering, but for gaming the i5 is the way to go. Good looking Build plan, but I'd recommend changing the H100i for the H105, H80i, H60 or H100i-GTX. The H100i has issues of leaking, my H100i leaked on my motherboard & GPU. I'd recommend changing this out

4690K and 4790K performs the same in gaming with just 1 or 2 fps different.

Can go with  i7 the difference between the i5-4690K and i7-4790K are hyperthreading, a bit more L3 cache, and 500MHz clock difference. The difference in clock speed can easily be made up if you choose to overclock.
