First Build Need Help

Hello there im building my first pc and i have had some recomendations and i have some what of a parts list im looking for a good gameing/video making pc

i need to be able to run multiple mniters and multitask without lag i need something that will last and work well here my list so far the only thing i want kept the same is the case that is the case i have wanted for a long time and am deffinatly getting it.im not to sure on the motherboard in this list.i need to lower the price down abit but i would like to keep a good performence.

 

My budget is Between $600-850 AUD(Australian Doller)

Asus GeForce GTX 960 2GB Strix DirectCU II OC 2GB

NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case

Power Supply:

Corsair CX 430W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

 

My budget is Between $600-850 AUD(Australian Doller)

GTX 970 will be better for gaming, GTX 960 is pretty good too...

I would either get an R9 280x or R9 285 for the 3gb of vram compared to the 960's 2gb.

Based on your avatar, I assume this is for minecraft? I'm an avid minecrafter among other things, but Minecraft is insanely CPU intensive; and not so much on the GPU (it's Java after all), just something to keep in mind.

 

Decent looking system to be fair, You could easily drop the motherboard down a bit, you don't need 101 features for an i5-4690k + 1x GPU.

Just go for the cheapest Z97 (or Z87 if supported bios) board you can find.

Minecraft is very CPU intensive. What settings do you want to play those other games on?

Looking awesome. Are you going to OC? Maybe consider a after market air cooler (not that expensive) if you want to OC.

after market air cooler are like 50 usd or less. Maybe you can get your PC 1st. Then after that the air cooler (then you OC).

Just take note that you might need to take into consideration on the installation of the after market air cooler. As in you mean need to install the back plate or something like that on the back of the mobo but then your casing should have the back of your mobo area cut out. #justsaying

ill most likely get liquid cool like a nzxt kraken or something like that

Oh ok. Then have to count in the power for the AIO then. Not sure if after adding everything in it, the PSU you wanted will have enough power for it. You are also OCing in the future, so have to take that into consideration.

Just choose the one you like will do. Maybe it's just me, mobo are more or less the same. Haha. 

 

I choose mine for the looks (as in it sort of matches the whole rig theme).
