Hi everyone,

i have a budget of +- 900€, and i want to upgrade my computer in order to play GTA V and the Wticher 3. Since i can't do an SLI configuration in my rig (my mobo doesn't support 2x GPUs), am thinking about getting a bi-GPU (+ new PSU). The R9 295X2 seems to be a great deal, specially considering that it has more power than a single GTX980 (for the same price). However, am not too sure about the R9. So my question is the following : What should i change in my rig for the upcomming game ?

my current rig :

- i5 3570k@4.2

- GTX680

- Haf 932 Advanced

- Corsair 8GB

- H80

i would personaly say, just buy a single GTX980.

the 295X2 is of course still the fastest gaming Graphics card in the world.

But it will only realy make sense if you game on 4k.

700W psu is way enough, for any single gpu setup realy.

Unless its some kind of a cheap wonky one.

Hmm, it cost more than 1K€. it's out of reach for me :( And i have a 700w PSU

A titan x has less graphic power, but i'd be concerned about the 700W BECAUSE it's a R9 295... It requires, if i remember correctly, 500W...

rig: i7 4770k @4.1Ghz (delidded), Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600Mhz, ROG Maximus VI Hero, Noctua NH-D14, EVGA GTX980SC, Samsung 850 EVO 500GB, Corsair SF600, self-built wooden Case, CoolerMaster QuickFire TK, Logitech G502, Blue Yeti, BenQ GW2760HS

Am not a radeon fanboy. I'm just looking for the best graphics card in my budget.

Like i've said, am going to buy the Super Flower 1200w 80+Gold PSU (i've seen many guys at overclocker UK using it). also am currently using a Corsair 700w PSU.

In terms of resolution, i have a 1080p monitor but i'll upgrade to a 1440p monitor very very soon

idk im not a boi lol.

my personal preverences are with Radeon cards.

But wenn it comes to recommending parts to others, i just look at the most vaiable option out there.

No matter AMD or Nvidia.

Which is in my opinnion a GTX980 atm

For his budget.

Titan X does not make any sense to me, on lower res then 4k.

Same story with the 295X2

Yea, disregard my post. Get a 980 for 1440p Ultra settings 60FPS <3

i would say check this video out, very interessting.

GTX980 vs 290X. GTA 5, 1080p 1440p and 4k tests.

GTX980 and 290X seem to be realy close in this game. :)

Maybe if you are looking for a card especialy for GTA 5, then you might concider the Sapphire 290X Vapor X 8GB or 4GB.

But overall a GTX980 is of course the better card.

Or just wait for the R9-390X of course.
