Hi guys I was looking at these two monitors and i noticed one of them is the R version of the other. I looked at the specs and one is a pure IPS panel (the R) and one is an ips/pls panel. what is the difference between this? And is it noticeable?

Might be handy to include a link, or at least the full name of the monitors.

Never mind that :D

Apart from the panel, there is really not much difference between the 2. How are the prices?

The non Q version is about 450 dollars which isn't too cheap but considering is is a qhd ips 27 inch panel that isn't too bad. The other one i do not know I looked all over the plave for sites that sold it but I really couldn't find any.

I have the PB278QR and as far as I can tell there is no real difference between the R and the non-R

I think the only difference would be the panel type, but no difference in looks/feels.

Other subtle difference would be the on-monitor software.

Eg: Quickfit: OVerlay a raster with common paper sizes

Well, I bought it in Belgium. :/

As for colour and viewing angles goes, one word: GORGEOUS

And the resoution is a dream to work on. It is enough to have a Twitch stream in a corner(with chat), a dev environment on one side and below the stream you can have Chrome for reference or chat clients etc.
