I used to love the 3rd gen nano. Sounds like the battery's dead. Have you tried charging it for an extended period of time?

So I got this old 3rd gen Ipod nano. 8GB black. The problem is that it beeps twice and then stays on a white blank screen. I took it apart already and its still doing the same thing. Is it fixable ? or do I need to access some special menu?
