Networking Questions Please HELP!

so i recently installed wi fi analyzer on my phone and i used the app to check for my wi fi signal. The wi fi i am using currently has both 2,4 ghz channel and 5 ghz channel. The app recommend me to switch from channel 3 (because everyone else in my neighborhood is using it) to Channel 6 , 13 or 14 but i don't know what this means and how to do it ( is it under my routers setting)?. Another thing i noticed from the app is i have a 5 ghz channel and there is no one else using this channel so it is free, but the problem is i don't know how to switch to the 5ghz channel from my PC( i have the PCE-N15, PCI-E wireless-N adapter) does this adapter support 5 ghz if so how do i switch to the 5 ghz channel.

Those channels are 2.4Ghz channels so ignore the 5Ghz completely and yes, they're in your routers wireless settings.
