I recently ordered a Asrock Z97 Extreme 3 mother board for my first PC build. To pair it up, I got a 4690k and g.skills x series ram. When I had it all put together, the pc would have the fans run but I could not get the pc to go into bios. I've held the correct key, and on my monitor it says how there is no signal, despite being plugged into the motherboard via hdmi and VGA on two seperate tries. I've looked into the problem and it says how asrock has pitiful ram support, despite the ram I bought saying it is compatible. This is my first build so I may be missing something obvious. Please help

Do you have a dedicated GPU?

Does not having a second parenthesis around something bother anyone else as much as it does me? (Like if this statement was missing a second side)

Ram support should not be problematic since they run at a standard 1,5V and not the 1,65V that is accpeted only by some motherboards. Look out on your motherboard if you have a bios switch. If yes, try to switch it to the secondary bios and see if it works that way.

Plus, you should always only plug your monitor cable in the graphics card if one is installed

Cpu:i5-4690k Gpu:r9 280x with some other things

I plugged it into the motherboard thinking the gpu wouldn't work without configuration. Guess that's the rookie kicking in. I'll try that and get back to you.

*EDIT*: Thank you so much. I was just able to get into bios. Boy was that a goof on my end.
