First time custom water cooling... will this all work well?

Hey guys and gals of the LTT community,I have some questions about water cooling and know you guys can help! Most of them are just about compatibility and if better options for little or the same amount of money exist.

Listed below are my current specs and what in the next year or so I will be upgrading to:

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor  (Purchased For $0.00)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard  (Purchased For $130.00)
Memory: PNY XLR8 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($95.98 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card (2-Way SLI)  (Purchased For $340.00)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card (2-Way SLI)  (Purchased For $340.00)
Case: Fractal Design Arc XL ATX Full Tower Case  ($122.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Sound Card: Asus Xonar DG 24-bit 96 KHz Sound Card  (Purchased For $21.00)
Fan Controller: NZXT Sentry Mix 2 Fan Controller  ($27.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Other: Filling Bottle ($6.00)
Other: Silver Kill Coil ($7.00)
Other: Performance PCs shipping+insurance  ($20.00)
Other: 2x STRIX 970 Backplate ($69.00)
Other: 2x STRIX 970 Waterblock ($245.00)
Other: Aquatuning Shipping ($7.50)

Everything marked has purchase is already owned.... that is what will be used at first.

Right now I am using the 3770 (as listed above) and that is part of the reason for me getting a cheaper CPU block...I would be buying a better one when I buy the new CPU and start overclocking. Anyways, here are my questions:

•Will everything fit with one HDD cage installed but moved towards the power supply (Fractal Design Arc XL)?

•Are all of the parts I have chosen good quality and the best for the same amount?

•I am running SLI will the parts I chose (The adapter) work on both my current board and the future board? (ASRock z77 extreme4 and MSI X99s SLI plus)

•Right now I plan on going with the fractal design arc XL, is another, better, case available for the same or 10/20 dollars more?

•Tips for building a rig with a custom loop?

I was also planning on a CPU/Mobo/Ram upgrade next year and was wondering if everything would work with the new parts, here they are:

CPU: Intel Core i7-5930K 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor  ($552.95 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: MSI X99S SLI Plus ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard  ($171.99 @ Newegg)
Sound Card: Asus Xonar DGX 24-bit 96 KHz Sound Card  ($38.48 @ Newegg)
Other: Better CPU block (Unknown ATM) ($100.00)
Total: $1045.40
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-04-23 23:27 EDT-0400

So, will those all work with the water cooling? (Other then CPU block, that will be changed)

Before anyone say, I am planning (as said/shown below) on upgrading my CPU to one that will take full advantage of this water cooling but wanted to do the water cooling first… but yes, I do plan on upgrading and then overclocking my CPU. Also, most people will say the loop might be overkill, but that is okay with me, I like overkill :P (To a degree... the accidental pun is the best pun)

Thanks for the help everyone!

Actually for a loop with a cpu and 2 gpu its not overkill.

I would get a d5 variant pump though.

There all pretty much the same.

I have a swiftech version. Get a variable speed one.

With D5 pumps, do you have to have a top? (http://www.aquatuning.us/water-cooling/pumps/d5-series/d5-tops/17529/alphacool-hf-d5-top-black-acetal-g1/4-vpp655/tpp644/mcp655-v.2)

you don't need one. They improve ascetics and sometimes performance.

My pump didn't have g1/4 fittings. So I got an ek pump top

So would these work? (Sorry for all the questions.) http://www.aquatuning.us/water-cooling/pumps/d5-series/d5-pumps/17524/alphacool-vpp655pwm-single-edition?c=6545 and http://www.aquatuning.us/water-cooling/pumps/d5-series/d5-tops/17529/alphacool-hf-d5-top-black-acetal-g1/4-vpp655/tpp644/mcp655-v.2

EDIT: I also have the issue of it fitting in the case... (Maybe you have suggestions for a bigger but still afortable case?) http://cdn5.thinkcomputers.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/fractal2.jpg I was thinking the pump and res would go in between the radiator (The one I have chosen is thinner, that is 45mm the one I am looking at is 30mm)

EDIT 2: Or I could go with a 5.25 inch mounted res possibly with a pump attached..

I've never used that case.

you can get a bay res. You can find bay res/pump combos.

I fit a 30 mm 360, a 60 mm 360 rad, 250mm res and a d5 pump in a 600 so anythings possible with some tools. That case only supports a 240 mm rad natively.

I think I am going to go with this: http://www.aquatuning.us/water-cooling/pumps/d5-series/d5-pre-installed/11277/alphacool-vpp655-g1/4-ig-complete-with-d5-hf-top?c=6545 It's variable speed and comes with the top.

Ditch the artic silver thermal compound. There are much beter options now. This is one of the best.

Gelid Solutions GC-Extreme https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002P5W4RU/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_iCfpvb1QNFBEE

I also did not see the cpu block listed.

http://www.performance-pcs.com/ek-supremacy-evo-cpu-water-block-original-csq-copper-plexi.html

This is the block I have listed: http://www.aquatuning.us/water-cooling/cpu-water-blocks/cpu-water-blocks/13564/alphacool-nexxxos-xp-light-acetal-intel/amd?c=6464

I'll take a look at some different thermal compounds

it would, but iw ould wait ont he watercooling and get the upgrade, thenw atercool next year. it can be expensive to redo a loop, and just get a 212 evo until your watercooling.

I already have an h90... I don't think I am going to wait on the water cooling... I want to get another year or two of this CPU if at all possible.

I know. I am not worried about it though, I have drain ports and everything I need to empty the loop and disassemble it set up in the price of the build.
