I just finished another build and im giving my old one to my wife for her to do her class work on. My old pc has an evga gtx 650ti SSC in it. The mobo has build in graphics in it so i was wondering if it would be worth it to put the 650 in my new build as a dedicated physx gpu. I have the avaliable slot for it and sufficient power. My new build has an AMD fx 6350 and a xfx r9 270x. Would it be better to run physx off the cpu or use the 650?

the 6350 wouldn't handle physx very well at all. the best i can say is try using the 650ti as a dedicated physx card (have no experience with doing this) and if it doesn't work well, then just make due without physx. running it off the cpu would be a bad idea with that cpu.

My rig:
CPU: i5 4690k 24/7 @4.4ghz (1.165v) Max 4.7ghz (1.325v) COOLER: NZXT Kraken X61 MOBO: Asus Z97-A   RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical   GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SSC   PSU: EVGA GS 650W   CASE: NZXT Phantom 530 HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB + WD Black 2TB

Not many of the games i play even use physx but i do rather have it on. Ive never done it either so im kinda roaming in the dark here
