Hi!

I'm helping my tech-illiterate friend to download a file (yes, he's unable to do that on his own). We connected via teamviewer and he needed to download java. He didn't have it so I went and installed java but couldn't because it said some internet connection restrictions were restricting the process.

Was that because we were using teamviewer? Note he has a VERY old and crappy pc, still runs on xp

Thanks

No.. it seems more like hes having i ternet problems on his side. Could be a firewall blocking him, or his router blocking some features...check his antivirus software, and check for viruses thwt could be stopping him from downloading new stuff.

BTW, is he using internet explorer (destroyer)? That could be another problem.

CPU: Pentium G3258 @ 3.2GHz || GPU:(first release,used) MSI R9 270 OC || Motherboard:MSI Z97-G45 Gaming Motherboard || RAM: 8 GB G.Skill Sniper 1600 || Monitors: Vizio 22 in Ultra slim 1080p TV || Storage: Seagate barracuda 160 GB 7200RPM,(REFURB) 1TB toshiba 7200RPM || PSU: (stripped from 2013 CAD PC)Corsair CX600 build was under $420

It can be cause by his antivirus and/or firewall. So maybe create a rule or disable them during the download.
