Does anymore have any real life hands on with this phone? And how's the battery life?

I loved the m8 but hated the battery life. I might pull the trigger on this phone Friday but still unsure.

Battery life won't change much. It's basically an M8 with different CPU and camera. Not worth upgrading at all.

Get the S6 or the iPhone 6. They're pretty much the only 2 large flagship phone that matter now.

Except the S6 is pretty shit

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

IMO all current flagships suck in one way or another.

I feel exactly the same way.

I'm so desperate that i'm hoping those off brand "LeTV" chinese phones come out good

Do you not like the 6+ because of it's size, feel in the hand? Or because it's iOS.  If size is the only problem the iPhone 6 is a good choice as well.  If it's iOS...well pretty much out of luck, Apple is really the only one who created a flagship that made sense this cycle, and even it has it's own set of problems.

Did you get a used M8? Reviews say it had pretty good battery life. And as much as I love the appeal of Sense, the speed, the good, speakers, the good metal build, the camera makes photos look like water painting and killed that phone to me. The had so much potential too, and they just went with a weird Toshiba sensor instead of Sony like everyone else. So if you don't mind the camera it is really good. The battery is similar life is similar to last year's M8, even with the larger size. For some weird reason the companies decided to have battery life be bad this year so far. The G4 might be a option too, it is supposedly going to be revealed on the 29 I think.

Reviews are saying battery life is worse for the M9 in most use situations than the M8. I have an M7 and was looking to upgrade to M9, but the reviews and un-inspired  "upgrade" really doesn't make it worth it to me. LG G4 looks more compelling to me. Just waiting on official announcement from LG on the 28th.

^Agreed. Nothing that interesting about the S6. IMO all current flagships suck in one way or another.

And exactly how do your comments help at all since you have no logical reasoning to back them up.

If you check out reviews on Youtube - MKBHD, TechnoBuffalo, PhoneDog, Android Authority, you will quickly find out that the M9 is just an iterative update over the M8 and even the M7 and since you've already tried the M8, it's not worth an upgrade for you.

I myself am currently rocking the new Samsung S6 Edge and I can honestly say that it possesses the best smartphone camera in the Android universe and maybe even better than the iPhone 6+ due to 4K recording and the best smartphone display that I've ever laid my eyes on - and I have tried the iPhone 6+, Nexus 6, Note 4, LG G3.

I've tried a lot (seriously, a lot) of phones and know the benefits of each. My daily driver is currently the M8 because audio quality is a big selling point for me due to it being 90% of what I do with my phone on a daily basis. For any other aspects there's obviously better devices. I miss Super AMOLED, I really do, but I can't stand a mono rear/bottom speaker any more. If you don't mind not having a MicroSD slot, ofc S6 over M9 any day, however S6 does cost more.

I do agree that the HTC Boomsound speakers are the best sounding speakers on a smartphone period. But for me that isn't a deal breaker since I usually use my headphones anyhow. In the past I actually cared about the expandable memory option and always used my 64gb microsd card but I found that I wasn't really using it - used streaming services more to get my multimedia, the pics I took always were uploaded to the cloud, so I can live with it now.

It's not just about the speakers, most of the music listening I do on my phone is through earphones (Klipsch S4a or Sennheiser CX 5.00i), and the M8 is noticeably better then competitors in that regard as well (I've tried S5 and G3). It gets much louder with much less distortion at high volumes, getting the most out of these headphones.
